AFC Bournemouth Legends VS Armed Forces XI Charity Match Cancelled

Unfortunately on the 5th April Sky Sports moved some of the Premier League fixtures for the penultimate games of the season. Due to the AFC Bournemouth game being moved we had to cancel this event.

The game has been moved back to Saturday May 4th! Although this has now been moved back it made it impossible for us to rearrange the charity match in under 2 weeks.

We can only apologise for any inconvenience caused as we realise how disappointing it is for everyone concerned.

With no new date to offer you full refunds for tickets purchased here are being held with Clive.

Please contact Clive for your refund.

Wanted: Coaches & Managers

Our youth section is expanding every year with more and more players wishing to join Wimborne Town FC.

We are looking for coaches/manager to join our club.

Would you like to coach manage one of our new teams?

We have a very good pathway through to the first team with several young players involved this season.

Our South West County squad, Under 18s, includes some travelling.

The level is very good and it also supplements our development squad.

We are looking for an experienced coach for this quality squad.

Anyone interested please contact Terry Wateridge: 07889142244 or email tel.wat@talk21.com

Jordan Lee Signs

We are pleased to announce the signing off Jordan Lee.

Jordan recently left AFC Bournemouth after 8 years. Jordan signed for the Academy at U12 level and progressed through gaining a scholarship.

After a successful period in the Youth team he was offered a professional contract, where he captained the under 21 side on many occasions.

He made his debut in an FA Cup third round tie against Birmingham City, starring in a 2-1 victory.

On the 7th of January 2017, Lee made his second appearance for Bournemouth, once again in an FA Cup tie against League One side Millwall.

On January 13th 2017, Lee joined National League side Torquay United on loan for the remainder of the 2016–17 campaign. He returned to Torquay in July 2017, on loan for a second time until January 2018.
Jordan left AFC Bournemouth in May 2018 after not being offered a contract.

Manager Matty Holmes on the signing:

“After speaking to Jordan over the summer, he felt he wanted to leave the professional game and find a local club where he can come and enjoy his football.
Jordan trained with us and played a couple of games over pre season and felt we were the right club for him. This is a fantastic signing for us, Jordan can play in number of positions and is another young player for the future of the club.”
