Matt did not know till July 4th, what league, what players, what budget, what sponsors and what pre season to organise, having lost 3 players Matty O ,Llyod, Sam Baston, at the moment we have a very small squad, so we will play our first league game in the southern league, very much on the back foot, but everyone at the club will take the promotion ,and i’m sure, in fact i know we will start the league with same mentality, and desire to win games, and perform in the highest league Wimborne have ever played in.
Starting in Dorset div 1, Dorset combination,Wessex league, Evo stick South and West, and Southern Premier,so many managers and individuals, Alex Pike and the late Nick Jennings the Vase squad, Paul Arnold and John Macey, Alex Brown, Darren Powell,Jamie Sturgess, Steve Cuss ,Simon Brown and Brendon King, Taffy, Tom,Jamie, Shovel,Peter Barham ,Brian Sibbely, Ken Fregus, Geoff, Maxted, Lee Merrifield, Ken Stewart, John Edwards and Nick O’hara all of these and many more have built this club to what it is a FAMILY CLUB many clubs have loved coming to Wimborne, and we need to keep it that way .we should not have to ask people, volunteers, but w are a bigger club ,and we help to keep the ground up to a standard, and not just say we are moving grounds soon whats the point
We are at different level now,and we need HELP and lets try keep up our standard, 2 hrs a week weeding emptying bins, painting,on the pitch Matt is doing his upmost to play the football we all want to watch, the crowds we hope will increase and HELP is needed more stewards, hospitaitly. We have a new bar manager CLIVE who is there 5 days a week to have a drink a chat with or to book a function ,birthday party, wakes
We are getting so much support from our youth Managers, Sally, Gus,Darren, and all the youth which now total 12 teams.
So anyone who can or as a couple hours to help SIBBO to keep ground clean and tidy will be great HELP.
We need ideas to improve or help on the dressing room area as it will not big enough in the ground grading, might get away with it this year, but they will need doing
We want to stay in this league graham bell, tony and val grant ken stewart ,lee and terry are all working to get sponors for match days and players, match balls
