Player Trials

Wimborne Town FC are excited to announce that we are joining the Junior Premier League next season, and we are looking forward to competing with the best talent in and around the South region.

We are entering two teams in to league: U14’s and U15’s.

Both squads will be holding open trials in June with dates and venue for each age group to be announced very soon.

  • At Wimborne Town FC, we believe in player development and providing the players who are willing to learn and show great attitude, dedication, with an excellent player pathway to the possibility off senior football, with outcome for every player playing at their highest standard possible.

Wanted: Coaches & Managers

Our youth section is expanding every year with more and more players wishing to join Wimborne Town FC.

We are looking for coaches/manager to join our club.

Would you like to coach manage one of our new teams? 

We have a very good pathway through to the first team with several young players involved this season.

Our South West County squad, Under 18s, includes some travelling.

The level is very good and it also supplements our development squad.

We are looking for an experienced coach for this quality squad.

Youth Update: Three teams reach cup finals!

Everyone associated with Wimborne Town FC would like to congratulate our youth teams on their recent success and wish them all the very best of luck in their respective finals.

Our excellent Under 10’s won their semi-final against Poole Town Wessex and Graham Wood’s squad are looking forward to their County Cup Final on Sunday 28 April against Longfleet Youth Lions.

The final will be at the Hamworthy County Ground with a 10am kick-off.  

This season WTFC have two U18 squad’s, the U18 SWC play on Saturday’s in the South West Youth League and the U18’s DL play on Sunday’s in the Dorset Football League U18 League.

Our U18’s Dorset League squad beat Poole Town Wessex Rovers 6-3 in their semi-final. They now face a big and very physical Milford Port team, a team who have already twice beaten WTFC this season.

The DCFA final will be held at Hamworthy County ground on Sunday 7 April with a 2.30pm kick off.

Our U18’s SWC squad have won through to the Hampshire U18 Midweek Floodlit Cup Final by beating Brockenhurst U18’s 5-0 last month but at present their finalists (Andover Town / Winchester City) are not known.

Further Cup Final details to follow. 

We invite all supporters to help support our three WTFC youth teams at their finals, which will be appreciated by everyone involved. 

Meanwhile the first Team and current cup holders, bid to reach successive Dorset Senior Cup Finals on Tuesday evening, with a trip at Bridport FC.
