Three of the league’s top scorers look set to clash on Tuesday night as Met Police travel down to the Koolpak Stadium, with Wimborne looking to make it ten league games unbeaten on home soil.
League Leaders Taunton Town only managed a draw on Saturday, cancelling out a fine Toby Holme’s goal in the 77th minute. Wimborne’s unbeaten run at home stretches back to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Beaconsfield in September.
Met Police make the journey for the second time this season, with unfortunate adverse weather making the pitch unplayable a few weeks ago. They are flying high in the league and could move to within one point of Taunton at the summit, with another game in hand. Having only lost three games all season and boasting both the third best attack and meanest defence, Met Police will travel with high hopes of preventing the Magpie’s desirable double digit milestone.
Front men Jack Mazzone (18) and Max Blackmore (17) will likely test an inform Gerard Benfield but they will be wary of our own dangerman, Toby Holmes on 19 goals already.
Kick off 7:45pm, tickets are just £10 for adults, £6 for concessions and £2 for U18s.
