Pupils and Staff at Wimborne First School have been taken over by Football Fever thanks to Matty Holmes and his team from Wimborne Town Football Club.
The children have loved their PE sessions where Matty has been working alongside teachers to deliver lessons in football, developing the children’s agility, teamwork and coordination skills. Teachers have found that the children have been highly engaged in their PE sessions and it has encouraged an increasing number of pupils to get active and to join after school sports clubs.
In addition to this, Matty and his team have been coaching pupils showing talent in football and created a Wimborne First School girls and a boys football team. These children have made massive developments in their football skills and thoroughly enjoy their sessions. They have been able to attend a number of football festivals and matches locally as well. Wimborne First School have also welcomed Wimborne Town Football Club to run an after-school football club for all pupils. This has been very popular and a number of children have been inspired by the club.
Thank you to Wimborne Town Football club for all your support and working with Wimborne First School in supporting us to enthuse our children to develop a love for sport.
