Will Fletcher joins the Magpies

 

We’re delighted to announce the signing of striker Will Fletcher from Dorchester Town subject to FA approval.

Some of you will now that Will came up through our youth teams, playing for Darren Shepherd’s Development Team. Which in the 2019/20 season saw him make his debut for our first team with one appearance as a 2nd half sub in the Dorset Senior Cup Quarter Final vs Shaftesbury at Cuthbury on 3 Dec 2019 under Danny Holmes. Will scored with a header from a Luke Burbidge free-kick as we won 5-1. Will also had the assist on our final goal scored by Addwell Chipangura.

 

Following that season Will joined Poole Town and over 4 seasons played in over 50 matches for the Dolphins, before joining Hamworthy on a loan early this season that saw Fletcher score 4 goals in 6 matches before the news of Hamworthy leaving the division occurred. Dorchester Town swooped in to secure his services that saw Will continue a fine scoring record with 10 goals in 26 appearances.

 

We are pleased that we are able to unveil Will as a Wimborne Magpie ahead of this season!

 

Manager Tim Sills commented “Fletch is a player I have admired for a while and I’m delighted to work with him for the coming season.  He has progressed so much in the last few years and will continue to do so while scoring goals for Wimborne which is a big statement of intent for us.“
