Scott Arnold Retires
Scott Arnold has announced his retirement from football, with his last match due to be played on Tuesday at home to Weymouth.
‘Arnie’ has been a stalwart of Wimborne for the best part of two decades, culminating in becoming the Magpies all time record appearance holder in September when he came off the bench against Totton for appearance number 617.
In a message to fans, Scott Arnold said: “Hi guys, Scott Arnold here. I hope you’re all still buzzing after yesterday’s great win!
“As our attention turns to Weymouth on Tuesday in the Dorset Senior Cup, it will be an emotional evening for myself. This is because I believe the time is right to call time on my playing career.
“If you fancy coming to give me some love, or even some abuse, it will be great to see you there. All I can say is thank you for all the support over the last 20 years and I wouldn’t have changed anything. See you Tuesday.”
Come down to the Wyatt Homes Stadium and give Arnie the send off he deserves!
