We are delighted to announce the signing of Alex Borges!

The young Left Back signs for the Magpies after impressing whilst on trial during pre-season.

Brazilian-born Alex spent his youth career at Bournemouth Poppies, Dorset RTC, Hamworthy United and Christchurch, before a breakout season last year at Bemerton Heath Harlequins, whilst also winning the Dorset Premier League Supplementary Cup with Cobham Sports.

On signing for The Magpies, Alex said: “I’m truly blessed and grateful to have signed for Wimborne Town FC. All glory to God for opening this door.

“At 18, this is a big step in my career and I’m excited for the journey ahead.the Bible says “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart and that’s my intention to give my everything for the badge. I can’t wait to get started!”

Manager Tim Sills commented: “I’m really happy to have Alex with us for the coming season.

“He’s a box of tricks, athletic and so eager to keep learning with a great attitude so I’m looking forward to watching him grow more at Wimborne.”
