The Magpies return to New Cuthbury in the Southern League this Tuesday as we take on Evesham United in a postponed fixture from March. Wimborne come into the game on flying form, off the back of a 1-0 win away to Willand Rovers on Saturday with a first-half header from Billy Walker being the only goal in the tie. The win saw The Magpies stay firmly in the title race as they sit joint top with Frome Town with the latter having played an extra game.

The visitors come to Wimborne in a good run of form and in the mix for a play-off spot,  sitting 7th in the division with two wins in their last two games featuring a 5-3 win at home to Melksham and a 3-1 away win at Tavistock.Wimborne will be confident to grab all 3 points however, with 7 wins in a row and an unbeaten run that stretches back to January of this year.

The last time these two sides met in the league was a 0-0 draw back in September 2023 with the Magpies only failing to score in one other game this season. Three points will be vital for Wimborne’s momentum as they host their title rivals Frome Town on Saturday in a league deciding fixture.

A printed programme will be available on the day at a reduced price using the edition from the game’s postponement from March 19th  with a supplement containing up-to-date information.
