The partnership will also see the Cricketers Arms become the official Wimborne Town FC pub in Wimborne town centre and will also become a designated away pub on match days.

The Cricketers Arms were finalists in the 2024 Great British Pub Awards for ‘Best Pub to Watch Sport’. The pub boasts big screens showing matches, as well as having four darts boards, a pool table, a jukebox and hosts regular live music events, all whilst serving an impressive range of drinks.

Wimborne Town general manager, Jimmy Glass, commented: “Wimborne Town Football Club is really excited to be partnering with the Cricketers Arms. We look forward to a successful relationship that sees both businesses grow and succeed in the coming years.”

Carl Filer, general manager of the Cricketers Arms, said: “We are incredibly proud to announce that The Cricketers Arms is now an official sponsor of Wimborne Town Football Club.

“As a longstanding part of the community, it’s an honour to support our local team and be part of their journey. We look forward to cheering them on and celebrating their successes together with our loyal patrons. Here’s to a great partnership and an exciting season ahead!”

The partnership sees the local pub become the official WTFC pub of Wimborne town centre.

Fans who have purchased an away shirt to date will have the opportunity to have the Cricketers Arms logo added free of charge by contacting club secretary Paula.
