Wimborne Town has just entered its first team into the Dorset Walking Football League, in the men’s 60+ division.

The season started on Sunday 19th October, with four matches at Hamworthy United’s ground. The games were 20-minute six-a-side matches with rolling subs.

The team held their own with a goalless draw with last year’s runners up Eastleigh; 1-0 losses to Weymouth and last year’s champions Bournemouth Reds; before a 3-2 win against Dorchester (with goals from David Mears, Brian Woodbridge and Tony Redman).

The next round of matches is 16th November at Littledown Sports Centre. Well done, guys!
